The scoring model

At launch we use 100 × supporters / (supporters + 50) to vary the card highlight. Sorting uses the supporter count, so the order is the same. Every business starts at zero.

A future licensed-data model could use 50% Google, 20% Yelp and 30% community, with review-count smoothing. No external ratings are used here. The model requires suitable provider permissions: Google terms and Yelp API FAQ.

The largest card, in the first sponsored position. One space per town and category.

Pilot prices for one town and one category. Every paid card is labeled Sponsored and stays in its category’s sponsored row during the agreed term; same-tier order rotates daily. Town-wide pages rotate a selection of sponsors. On phones, sponsored cards share a compact grid; Platinum spans two columns. No traffic or sales are guaranteed.

Requests are reviewed manually. After your card and payment arrangement are confirmed, your placement is activated. Submitting a request does not start a subscription or take payment. Reports show measured card views and outbound clicks; payments never add community stars.

We combine public city, chamber, tourism, business-location and county inspection sources. This is broad directory coverage, not a guaranteed list of every operating business. A published mailing address may be outside municipal limits. Chains and independent businesses are welcome.

Cards are original designs, not official logos or endorsements. Websites and directory profiles open directly. Missing or outdated information can be submitted for review.
YOUR VISIT

A small amount of data.

Browsing is public. Your account stores an email address and a securely hashed password. We store your active endorsements, listing requests and business claims so they work across devices. Your email and requests are visible only to you and the site owner.

We count cards that appear in view and clicks to business websites. A first-party, one-day cookie groups repeated events from the same browser. Reports count a business at most once per browser per day for each event type. Directory analytics store no raw IP addresses and use no third-party advertising trackers. The hosting server may retain security logs. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control opt out of these counts.

Browser identifiers in event records are hashed and event records are removed after 90 days during normal activity. Stars count for 180 days; you can remove yours at any time. Requests remain for administration until the owner deletes them. Use a correction request for privacy or removal requests. Linked businesses have their own privacy policies.
